THE HAIR GROWTH TRIGGER EXPERIENCE
Tuesday, June 14, 2016
Last year I read on
darkchildlovethyhair how she tried to make the hair growth trigger using
Cayenne pepper and some other ingredients. She complained deeply about the
smell and that was how she tossed the hair growth elixir she made. After reading
her blog I decided to embark on the journey of making my own. I thought if it smelt so bad, what can make
the smell go away??? Lavender oil!
This hair trigger Oil is
basically infusing all the ingredients inside an oil for two weeks. The point of the trigger is to increase blood flow in your scalp, and we all know blood circulation helps in hair growth. It’s not a
long process if you’re a DIY (Do it Yourself) queen like me. If you’ve been
following my channel you’ll know I like to try some of these DIY’s before
telling people about them. Lets just say I use my hair as a test subject.
Here are the ingredients;

Coconut oil
Cayenne Pepper
Onion
Garlic
Biotin
Lavender oil
Directions
Cut all the Ingredients into small slices and
pour in an air tight container.
Fill the container with Coconut oil, you can
use any oil of your choice
Cover and leave for two weeks in a dark cool place, under your bed is fine.
After two weeks,
strain, and the hair growth trigger oil is ready.
The smell was actually bad at first, I added a few drops of
lavender oil and it reduced, I decided to pre-poo with it. On touching my scalp,
it was hot but just for a while, I guess that effect came from the cayenne
pepper. The smell wasn’t so strong but it wasn’t so lovely either, the lavender
oil seemed to have balanced the smell from really pungent to not so bad. I left
the oil on my hair overnight and washed the next day.
Moral of the story…
I will definitely do it again, I mean I’ve
only done it once so I can’t say if it’s working or not. I will keep using it
as a pre-poo treatment and also use it every other night to oil my scalp.
here's my length check after washing my hair
Till next time… Love your Kinks

Hmm...my scalp is really tender and I run away from anything that may be hot on my scalp. That said, I love DIY's so i'll go ahead and try this and see how it pans out. Thanks for using ur hair as the test subject for us *wink**
